I am delighted to present mixed media work by Students of the Visual Narratives - - Print, Paint, Stitch course. Since July they have been working their way through the 10 modules that guide and support them on their printing and markmaking journey with me.
To conclude their course they were invited to explore and develop work to the theme: In Retrospect
This remarkable exhibition, beautifully Curated by the Fibre Arts Take Two team, showcases students' responses to the theme criteria:
Sadly it wasnβt possible to include many of the images in this post, but you can view the entire collection, and read about the work, in this online Flip Book.
ππ§ ππππ«π¨π¬π©πππ challenged students to explore time, memory, and introspection through diverse sources. The theme encourages delving into the rich tapestry of meanings and contexts associated with chosen subjects. Students are prompted to think of it as a question, fostering a deeper understanding of their artistic pursuits. The focus is on investigating qualities, processes, and nuances to create a narrative and considering whether research or creative process should guide artwork creation.
Visual Narratives, my Online course with Fibre Arts Take Two, will be re released for a specific time in November 2024. You can register your interest and hear about dates for itβs release here.
